How to make smooth sandstone in Minecraft

Smooth sandstone is a very interesting block that a builder may find very useful, especially if making a desert themed build. This blog post will highlight exactly how you can get smooth sandstone to use in your builds.

1. Find a desert village.

2. Smooth sandstone is one of the blocks used to make the village houses.

3. Acquire a pickaxe and mine the smooth sandstone. Done!

1. Acquire sandstone. Do this by either finding it in the desert or crafting it using four sand (For more on this front, check out our blogpost on sandstone). Once you do this, smelt the sandstone in a furnace to acquire smooth sandstone.

Smooth sandstone is very useful for making desert themed builds because of it’s pleasing appearance and texture as opposed to sandstone. If you’re looking for variety in your build, consider using smooth sandstone!
